I cannot say enough good things about Monroe County Singers Company. Jody does such an amazing job with these young ladies. When deciding what activity we wanted our daughter to be apart of, we wanted something that would help build her confidence, something that would mold her into a kind and caring human being, and a community where she could truly be herself. The light Jody shines on her students is something they will carry with them for a lifetime.

Monroe County Singers Company has been a positive experience for my daughter. She looks forward to practice each week and the performances at the end of each season are the icing on the cake. Miss Jody and Leah are great role models for the girls. My daughter’s confidence has grown and she enjoys performing and is not hesitant to speak in front of others. We also love that this group is non-competitive. The girls have different levels of ability and everyone is applauded the same. We love Singers Company!!

I recently signed my daughter up for Waterloo Singers Company SHINE Summer Camp with Miss Jody. She has not stopped talking about Shine camp and it did so much for her confidence!! We were amazed at what you accomplished in just five half days!! As one of the youngest kids there and she didn’t know even one girl going into that week, everyone made her feel so comfortable that when we walked in there on Friday, to watch the end-of-week performance, she was in the middle of the circle laughing and smiling from ear to ear with all these girls who were total strangers on Monday. It brought tears to my eyes to see her in that element and that’s all thanks to your leadership and showing the girls the importance of including everyone and bonding over music and movement!! We’re still getting a performance of “Get Your Sparkle On” every morning at breakfast!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Can’t wait to see the next one!!!

I was reflecting today on the fact that this is Abi’s last year with The Singers Company!! Miss Jody and your daughter Leah have been a great influence for both of my girls! We really appreciate you both! It’s rare for people to find their spark in life and even more rare to be able to share it with others. You have managed to do just that! I appreciate the light and the love you have shown and poured into my girls over the years. Who they are today makes me so proud and I know you have had a large part in their growth as people, especially the confidence you have been able to bring out of my sweet and at one time very shy little Abi! 

I love the Singers Company Program that you facilitate and have brought to Waterloo. Which by its nature and design, fosters confidence and self-esteem, empowering these young girls. With you as the leader it is so much more than that! You and The Singers Co are a blessing to our community. I just wanted you to know how much what you do matters, it’s truly a gift!! I pray that you will continue to share your love of music, singing, and The Arts for many years to come!
